Mechanism of Action:
6-BA is the first synthetic cytokinin, it’s high-efficiency, stable, low cost and easy for use.
It’s compounded by American wellcome research in 1952, in 1960’ Japan make it commercial.
6-BA can be sbsorbed by seed, root, stem and leaf. 6-BA can inhibit Chlorophyll, nucleic acid, protein decomposition resolve in leaves, meanwhile to tranport amino acid, auxin, inorganic salt to dealed place.6-BA mainly promote bud form, induce callusogenesis. 6-BA used to increase quality and quantity of tea, tobacco; Vegetables, fruit fresh keeping and No root sprouts cultivated, increase the quality of fruits and leaf.
Function:
6-BA have a good results to increase flower-size and fruit-size.
6-BA mainly used to tissue culture, promote seed budding, promote lateral bud growth and lateral stem length. 6-BA can promote flower-bud differentiation, 6-BA inhibit protein and Chlorophyll resolve. 6-BA promote cell division and induce tissue differentiation. 6-BA increase fruit-setting ratio and keep vegetables fresh, relieve seed dormancy, break apical dominance. 6-BA can promote lateral bud growth, induce the female characters and tuber become. 6-BA can increase ability of inhibit-harm.
Application dosage and method:
Different crop have different dosage and method, usually the dosage is 0.5-2.0mg/L, usually used to spray or smear, without test, please don’t augment dosage.
Matters need attention:
1. 6-BA can’t dissolve in water, add 0.1mol/l HCL solution before use, warm it completely dissolve, then add water to dilute it.
2. Because cell division have bad transport character in plant body, so use solution in effect parts of plant.
3. Dosage of 6-BA is 0.5—2.0mg/L, most don’t use 6-BA, just little crop need 0.02ppm is OK. If pass 0.1mg will inhibit root growth, pass 0.5mg root will don’t growth.
Advantages Disadvantages:
Advantages: 6-BA have high-efficiency in cell division, so there is a wide use from agriculture to gardening.
Disadvantages: 6-BA have a bad mobility, just be confined to dealed parts. So when use, should consider application method and parts.
Application method:
1. 6-BA can promote grape and melon fruit-setting, use 100mg/l solution deal grape bud 2 weeks before flowering stage, this can inhibit flower and fruit dropping to increase fruit-setting ratio.
2. 6-BA can flower plant opening and fresh.
3. 10mg/l use in 1-5leave stage, deal young rice stem and leaves, can inhibit leave become yellow to keep root vigour, 6-BA can increase the survival rate of rice seedlings
4. 6-BA use to fruit type and variety improvement, vegetable and fruit fresh for storage, increase rice yield.
5. 10-20mg/L spray rice, increase yield 10-15%, wide apple size and increase yield. Use 10mg/L solution spray celery, caraway to inhibit leave become yellow, inhibit Chlorophyll degradation and increase content of amino acid.
